This brings us to the main point that we want to discuss. While Dyson’s many handheld vacuums are some of the most powerful in their field, they all still need to be charged.
And that can be an issue, especially if you are unfamiliar with the model, and you don’t know where your charger for it is.

What Are Dyson Chargers For?
Before we go any further in discussing what exactly the chargers of the different types of Dyson vacuum cleaners are, we should probably cover some of the basics that apply to pretty much every Dyson handheld vacuum out there.
One thing that most Dyson handheld models have in common is the setup for their battery systems.
Unlike many other brands of vacuums, where the battery pack for the device is held in a detachable casing that can be charged separately or replaced, the rechargeable batteries for most Dyson vacuums have an internal setup.
This means that the casing that contains the batteries for the device is located within the plastic casing of the larger vacuum assembly, usually around the handle area.
This means that, if the battery for the device needs to be repaired or replaced, then the handle and bottom of the Dyson vacuum (where the main battery is usually held) will have to be taken apart to reach it.
In terms of how it affects its chargers, Dyson vacuums use a simple plug-in socket that connects to the main and does not use a docking station like many other companies do, which helps to save on space and extra bulky components.
Despite the many differences between the various models of Dyson handheld vacuums, there are only two charger models for these different products:

- The V10 and V11 charger

This model can be attached to both the in-built battery slot that the V10 has, or to the detachable battery that the V11 can come as.

What Are The Differences Between These Vacuums?
So, we have covered the main two chargers that are used for these vacuum cleaners. But what other differences and similarities do these models have with each other? Are there any other things that can and can’t be shared between these models?
Accessories
With the Dyson family of handheld vacuums all sharing various parts, especially when it comes to accessories, there is plenty of room for sharing components between them.
This is especially the case for various specific nozzle heads and other fine cleaning attachments that you can find for these vacuums, such as soft or hard brush cleaning tools.
Air Flow Configuration
This aspect is mainly to do with how the circulation of air is configured in these models, especially from the extension wands that carry dust to the main chambers and canisters of the vacuum.
In this case, this is where the V6, V7, and V8 share more features in common again, as their dust canister is kept just below where the extension meets the rest of the main vacuum assembly and is held on the same plan as the vacuums batteries.
By contrast, in the various models for the V10 and V11, the wand of the vacuum is configured to be in line with the dust canister itself, which allows for a greater transference of both dust particles and airflow, allowing for better suction power.
Motor Power
This is the main difference between the many models of these vacuums. All the vacuums have well over 100,000 Rotations Per Minute (RPM), giving them all excellent suction power for better performance.
The V6, the V7, and the V8 All spin at around 110,000 PRM, whereas the larger and more powerful V10s and V11s, can spin at up to 125,000.
Battery Layout
As we have established, most Dyson handheld vacuums have in-built battery systems that mean that they cannot be detached to be charged away from the vacuum.
However, some models of the V11 do have a detachable battery ceasing, meaning that the battery can be charged while the rest of the vacuum remains in storage
