It’s marketed at those who find they regularly spend over 60 minutes using the vacuum, and are held back by the run time of the traditional cordless stick vacuum.

Do You Need Dyson Spare Batteries?

The battery for a standard Dyson stick vacuum should last for roughly 4 years, with the first 2 years covered by the warranty.

For this reason, you might not see much need for purchasing a spare. Especially as the modern batteries can charge constantly without sustaining damage, so your vacuum is always powered up and ready to go.

But there are some advantages to having a spare battery on hand. If you like to vacuum several times a week, it might feel as though the battery never gets a chance to cool down before being charged again.
