How To Charge Dreametech T10 Vacuums
Let’s look at answering the key question. Before we get into the how-to, though, it’s important to state a few points of safety to ensure that you aren’t put in danger when using your Dreametech T10 and its battery.
- To lessen the risk of getting injured by fire or explosions, you need to check that the charging adapter and lithium battery are not damaged before you use them. If either of those are damaged, then you must absolutely not use the vacuum cleaner. Instead, contact Dreametech and arrange the delivery of a new one.
- You should only use the original charging adapter. If you use an unoriginal charging adapter, it might cause the lithium battery to catch on fire, which would be extremely dangerous.
- It is also essential that you follow the instructions carefully and accurately. When you first get your new Dreametech T10 and its battery, you should fully charge it before you use it for the first time. Don’t just use it straight out of the box, first ensure that the battery is fully charged up.
For the battery to get a full charge, it will often take around 3 and a half hours.
If you’ve used the vacuum cleaner on its Turbo Mode (its ultra powerful, highest suction setting) then it will make the battery inside heat up, due to the intense usage.
If you try to charge a hot battery it will make the time it takes to reach a full charge much longer. Not only that, it could be dangerous.
For that reason, you should allow the vacuum to cool down for half an hour before you go to charge the battery.
There are two ways that you can charge your Dreametech T10 battery.
Using A Charger
You can simply charge the battery by plugging your charge into an electrical socket in the wall, and putting the other end of the cable into the hole at the back of the vacuum handle.
Simply switch the electrical socket on, leave the vacuum in a safe and dry place not close to anything, and leave it for the full three and a half hours.
You can actually tell how well the charge is going while it’s happening, without having to unplug it and guess how much it has charged – only to find out that it hasn’t when it cuts out prematurely.
Thankfully, there is a series of three indicator LED signs on the vacuum that will tell you how much it has charged:
- If the first two lights are off but the third is blinking, then it means low battery.
- If the first light is off, the middle light is blinking, and the third light is fully on, then it means you have half the battery charged.
- If the first light is blinking, but the other two lights are fully on, then it means the battery is nearly fully charged.
- If all three lights are fully on, with no blinking, then it means the battery has been fully charged.
At the end of three and a half hours, a cooled down battery should have all three lights fully on .
Using A Charging Mount
The other method is to use a charging mount. Unfortunately, this needs to be installed first, but once you have installed it then it will allow you very easy charging.
If you aren’t confident with DIY, then you should hire a professional to set it up – for your own safety.
Firstly, it needs to be installed in a location that is cool and dry, and has an electrical socket nearby.
Before you install it, make sure there are no wires or pipes in the space behind where you’re going to be putting it up, because you don’t want to drill into those.
You need to be careful how you put it up. The lower end of the mounting template sticker needs to be level and a minimum of 103 cm up from the ground.
On the other hand, the top of it should have a minimum of 30 cm clearance above it.
Once that’s done, get a power drill and an 8 mm drill bit. Use it to drill a hole into each of the markers on the mounting template stickers, then put a wall plug into each of your drilled holes.
Then align the mount holes with wall holes, and fasten the mount to wall with the screws that were included.
Make sure that your mounted charger is fully secured, otherwise it will be dangerous.
Once it’s safe, then take your vacuum head with its battery inside, and angle it up into the slot to sit vertically. Make sure it, too, is secure. Then leave it to charge.
